In early April, we all went to Bastrop State Park for two nights of camping. Henry had a blast. He hiked well, somewhat minding us as we walked along, and stuck it out for most of a 2.5 mile hike. Sleeping in the tents was fun for him too. It wasn't Big Bend, but we all had a great time.

Nice! You are lucky he hiked for almost 2.5 miles. My 4 year old has hiked one mile one time, but usually he demands to be picked up or hauled somehow. Last weekend we attached a rope to his Tonka truck and he sat in it while we pulled him. Funny thing was the 2 year old PUSHED his Tonka truck for the hike.
